Dove Therapy

Do you just need to talk to someone?

You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or simply not like yourself. Perhaps you are carrying grief, struggling with a painful relationship or past experience, caring for someone you love, or questioning where your life is headed. You may know that something needs to change but aren’t sure where to begin. Therapy can provide a private, supportive place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and begin moving toward greater peace and a more meaningful life.

Hi, my name is Mary Dove,

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and relationship wounds, caregiver fatigue, and scrupulosity, difficulties with boundaries and self-worth, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that understanding your experiences, without judgment, can bring meaningful change.

I am a pre-licensed psychotherapist with a master’s degree in clinical psychology, working with clients throughout Vermont. I have worked with those suffering with deeply painful mental health concerns. I have experience and training in processing trauma. Finding meaning and identifying your personal goals is an important part of growth. I want to help you find your inherent value as you address your suffering. I respect your faith orientation and am sensitive to spiritual distress that can emerge with psychological pain.

Distress often affects the physical, psychological and spiritual.

I’m here to help you search for peace. Contact Dove-Therapy

I approach therapy through an existential lens, helping others process the givens of life such as the meaning of suffering, death anxiety, isolation and loneliness, anger/injustice, meaning and purpose. I provide a private space to nonjudgmentally explore your concerns and look at the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ that affect your pain. I am respectful of your faith orientation with sensitivity to your beliefs.

I look forward to meeting with you!
